Six-pack of Niners-Focus on Precision

This small piece (20" x 16") will
be constructed while the basics of precision
quilting will be covered. The basics are
many times forgotten but they are oh, so
important. More experienced quilters may
pick up a tip or two to increase their accuracy
as well. In this class we’ll cover the following:
- How to make fabrics behave to increase accuracy.
- Review rotary cutting equipment and accurate
rotary cutting.
- Pin to keep intersections together.
- Conquer that rascally 1/4” seam allowance.
- Press (not iron) to increase precision.
- Set blocks on point by cutting setting triangles
with a nifty ruler.
- Calculate how to successfully add pieced
borders to a quilt.
- Learn tips for structural quilting to keep
every piece straight and true.
- Stitch simple quilting patterns accurately
using freezer paper templates.
Please note that quilting will be discussed
in class, but binding with piping will not.
It is a different class.
