Prairie Point Pillow Supply List (HALF-DAY CLASS)
Learn to use heavy decorative thread through the needle to embellish prairie points, then make perfect prairie points, and use a variation of foundation piecing to accurately piece many prairie points into a 14" pillow. Piping and ric-rac finishing techniques will be demonstrated for a fabulous finish!

If class is at a conference, classroom machines may be available. Please check with class organizer. If classroom machine is used, items marked with an "*" will be provided.

Fabric/thread requirements:
  • foundation fabric: starched 16" square light-colored fabric (will not be seen in finished project)
  • background fabric: fat quarter (18"x 22")
  • prairie points (rainbow of colors in sample): (8) 3"x at least 20" strips (all different colors) OR (4) 3"x at least 40" strips of same color OR (44) 3" squares of scraps ... PLEASE NOTE that hand-dyed, solid or tone-on-tone fabrics will show off stitching better! www.CherrywoodFabrics.com is a fabulous source for hand-dyed fabrics. My sample showcases Carnival.
