Susan will have the pattern, cording, some
YLI #100 silk thread, and the Clover ball-point
awl available for purchase in class.
Fabric choices:
Please keep in mind that high contrast is
needed for piping fabric so that it will
pop! Prints may hide piping, so consider
stripes, solids, batiks, or tone-on-tone
fabrics. My sample shows Malaysian batiks
from www.BoldOverBatiks.com. Simply make
sure your piping fabric is in high contrast
to lantern fabrics and background fabrics.
Repeating piping fabric in the lanterns top
and base will draw more attention to the
piping
