It is double gassed and tightly twisted so machines love it. It produces very little lint and a gorgeous stitching line! I've been using this thread in my threads classes and all machines have performed well with this thread. It's amazing! Stitch slowly with a 90 or 100 topstitch needle and regular 50 or 60 wt cotton thread in the bobbin. I try the 90 topstitch needle first to poke the smallest hole possible and if that doesn't give good results, I use the 100 topstitch needle. A 100 tostitch will always do a good job.Top tension may need to be loosened (a lower number) just a bit. A big stitch length (3.5mm) will give best results. Quilt bold lines by machine or hand ... Applique by machine or hand ... Redwork ... Wool applique ... Pick stitch fine garments Big NEWS ... The Babylock Sashiko machine does a fantastic job with this thread and creates a bold dashed line. I loosened the bobbin tension about 1/4 of a turn to adjust for the thickness of this thread. I suggest sewing slowly. I think I'm in love! (disclaimer ... Babylock does not suggest using a thread heavier than 30wt ... guess I'm a rebel.) Of course, all colors look even better in real life.
