		Clover ball-point awl I use this stiletto to guide piping as I sew it along a quilt's edge or as I place it along a curve. It also makes applying a piped shape much easier as described in Piping Hot Curves "Technique" chapter. The tip of this stiletto is not as sharp as most, so it doesn't poke holes in fabric or snag decorative threads but is still pointed enough to hold fabric in place. The handle is rounded and comfortable to hold. (This tool may be used for separating threads to insert stuffing for trapunto.)
