That's Life-Basic Bargello
Retail Price: $8

This pattern is designed for any level quilter who is ready to give bargello a try. Eight, nine, or ten different fabrics may be used and the possibilities for fabric choices are endless. I found that I liked one fabric to lead into another. For instance I started with an off-white, then a beige, then beige with a bit of red, then beige with a lot of red, then red with a bit of black, then black with a bit of red and a bit of brown... It is still important to use one fabric that is significantly brighter or lighter than the others as well as one that is much duller or darker than the others. I choose to use high contrast between the first and last fabrics, but you may choose to make those flow like the others. (With 8 fabrics, the quilt will be 4” shorter, and with 10 fabrics the quilt will be 4” longer. The cover quilt was done with 9 fabrics.)

The following concepts are covered in this pattern. Instructions are written so these can be learned during the making of this quilt. (Previous rotary cutting and basic piecing experience is helpful.)
